Bakery Update - October 2016

After weeks of organizing, planning, and a ton of preparation and the children back in school after their 3 week holiday, I am pleased to announce that the African Hearts Bakery is in full swing!
Fresh, warm bread buns fill their tummies each and every morning! Praise the Lord!

Thank you to everyone who has supported this ministry in the past year and helped make this happen. In less than 6 months we raised over $30,000 to build this beautiful bakery, train the staff, purchase all the equipment necessary and feed these beautiful children!
We are excited to watch the development of this bakery and how God will use this for His Glory!

African Hearts Newsletter - September Edition

"Praise the Lord! In July, we opened the doors to our brand new bakery located at the African Hearts Junior School. Through much planning, preparation and generous donations, African Hearts partnered with Bread For Life Ministries to bring this dream to fruition. As part of the school breakfast, we now feed over 500 students and staff freshly baked bread buns every school day. There was a huge divide between the quality of some students’ meals due to differing socioeconomic status. Not only does this bakery provide nutritious bread to benefit all students, but this project also brings training and employment to vulnerable women. Our bakery manager has been rescued from a former street life. Diana has been given training, a new home and her dignity restored by reputable employment at African Hearts. Her constant prayer was “I want to work with my hands” and now as she daily kneads the dough in the bakery kitchen, she gives thanks to God for His provision. It is true that God hears and gives us the desires of our hearts (Psalm 37:4). In this role, Diana is also able to see her son everyday that is sponsored at school. B4L Ministries has blessed African Hearts in so many ways to which we are eternally grateful."
