💫 our new project 💫
💫 our new adventure 💫
our new display of God’s magnificent Power and Glory!
Are y’all ready for this? Are you ready to storm the gates of Heaven with prayers for the BIGGEST project Bread for Life has ever done? Go get your faith hat , put on your trust coat , find your prayer shoes, because it’s time to do-work and DIG DEEP! 🚜
(For me, this is personal. God gave me this vision way back in 2012 before I even knew the depth the Lord was going to take this ministry. I wrote about it here: http://growing4hisglory.blogspot.com/2012/03/meeting-time-to-dig.htm. A read for a later time)
I have been praying recently for the impact that Bread for Life could have and how we can best serve and meet the needs throughout the communities and villages in Uganda. I mean, let’s face it - 2020 was not kind to anyone.
And in that, I saw poverty hit a new low. A low that some did not survive. (We’ll save that post for another time!)
Villages utterly scattered and community dessimated before our eyes. It’s heartbreaking all over this world. Everywhere.
So, this is it - 2021 I wanted to claim back the year the locus ate! (Joel 2:25)
Today (02/12/2021) we took our B4L contractor and water engineer for an assessment.
More 💰 details to come next week but here is how you can pray! Our goal is to complete:
❤️ Finish the roof and sidings/windows on the existing church building
❤️ Complete construction of main worship center, empowerment center, counseling offices, and vocational training rooms.
❤️ Drill a well (either hydraulic or solar)
❤️ Provide electrical services
❤️ BUILD A BAKERY AND KITCHEN!
💫 Here is our new project, 💫 our new adventure, 💫 and our new display of God’s magnificent Power and Glory! 🌟

🍞 BRIEF:
Mpigi worship center, Yesu Akwagala is a church, led by Pastor David Semanda, started in 2011.
It has membership of 50 adults and 80 children. The church is located on a hill with a semi-permanent building on a space of one acre of land, there is a more permanent building whose constructions stopped underway when the sponsor from the US got financial issues. The ministry has women empowerment project which has membership of about 40 women.
Biggest problem as shared by pastor David is the high school dropout and lack of employment among the youths and many church members. Pastor’s vision is to address these challenges.
🍞 RELEVANCY OF THE BAKERY TO THE CHURCH.
Pastor welcomed the idea of having a bakery on their property as it will greatly help to address the challenges sighted above. Ideally the bakery will help in further empowering of the women in the empowerment program and address the issues of employment. He did say that the bakery will provide opportunities for the church to preach the gospel. Most of the schools in the community are Muslim schools which will only open up to people with tangible gifts. The largest prison in the area is located near the church. Pastor used to go there several times to witness to the inmates but authorities substituted him to ministries that came with donations so he lost the opportunity which he thinks he can regain if he visits with bread. (Bread, the True Gift Of Life! John 6:35)
🍞 SUSTAINABILITY.
The land on which the bakery would be built, is owned in the names of the ministry, this is important because it will allow continuity and no personal interference. In addition to using bread to preach the gospel, Pastor also wants to run the bakery as an income generating project. He said that there is no bakery in the whole town council,
that it would give them an opportunity to supply the bread to shops at a cheaper cost since they now have to rely
on buying them from Kampala incurring high transport costs.
In addition to this there are market days in the town council that they intent to take advantage of by putting stalls of bread in such days. They would also sale to the school where they take the gospel.
🍞 CHALLENGES:
The challenges as shared and my personal observations include the following;
1) There is no running water, but a well could be built.
2) There is no electricity currently although they had started on the application process and poles were put near the property.
3) The empowerment building lost its funding and is incomplete.
4) There is a very structure that is used for cooking but exposed to the weather.
🔥 So, guess what Bread for Life Ambassitors… it’s time to DIG DEEP! 🔥
⚡️ Last I recall the Lord didn’t work off a bank account or a budget to do miracles.
⚡️ Last I checked He cared about the orphan (street children) and the widows (girls and women who have been abused and abandoned)
⚡️ Last I read he wanted us to cloth the naked, feed the hungry and give water to the thirsty.
⚡️ Last I knew He’s asking us to visit the sick and care for them. And even the ones in PRISON!
You see, in my heart, it’s done. It’s completed. I see it! This has been a prayer of mine for almost 10 years.
I know the Lord has greater things for Bread for Life beyond even bakeries.
This vision is a reality He’s given me because of YOU! Without your prayers and support, this ministry would not exist. This is the Church’s ministry. This is the ministry that belongs to ‘we the church’ of Bible believing_God fearing_ miracle working_walk by faith_move mountains_pray the impossible-possible- men and woman of God!
Summer of 2021 we are going to help raise up this Village!
We are going to support and supply opportunities for the people throughout this community!
We teach people to fish in this ministry.
With help with a pole, a boat, some bate and water.
We help raise up men, women, and children with the tools God has given us all to the Glory of God Almighty!
Let us come together and bless this church to serve the Lord by providing an environment that serves the ‘least of these’!
Enjoy the pictures and videos. The land looks amazing breathtaking!
