Looking back... this is how we all got started!
GOD IS GOOD!
During our 2015 mission trip to Uganda, I baked bread for the very first time there. I had no mixing spoons, no measuring cups, and not even a recipe. The ingredients available in Uganda were nothing like what I was used to in the United States—half of what I needed couldn’t even be found in the stores. I improvised by taking my familiar pumpkin bread recipe and substituting bananas (which, for the record, are not interchangeable!). I truly had no idea how it would turn out.
We ended up “baking bread” in a pot, over an open flame, balanced on a stove. It was wild and absolutely unforgettable—but we made it work. And to our amazement, everyone who tasted that bread said it was the best they had ever eaten—even my team members from the States!
That day, God turned a humble loaf of bread into a vision. He revealed a need, opened a door, and set my heart into motion. And here we are today—preparing to fund and build Bakery #5 in the heart of the slums, for 2026.
Only God could write a story like this.
